Bernard Plossu is a Vietnam-born French photographer primarily known for his global travel photography. Plossu began taking pictures aged thirteen during a trip to the Sahara with his father, and since 1975 has shot almost exclusively in black-and-white. He often photographs women and the female form, rejecting voyeurism in favour of sensuality.
His work is self-described as banal, has been exhibited in France, Spain and the US among others, and published in numerous volumes from 1965 to present.
